Encountering the error message "This code is no longer valid. Contact your carrier for more information." when adding your ESIMI  eSIM on your iPhone? Don't worry, this is a common message and can usually be resolved.

This error often pops up even if the eSIM was successfully added in the background.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Check Your Internet Connection: The eSIM needs an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or existing cellular) to be added and verified. Please ensure your phone is connected before attempting activation.

  2. See if the eSIM Installed: Despite the error, the eSIM might be installed already. Let's check your iPhone's settings:

    • Open Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).

    • Under Cellular Plans, look for your new eSIMI eSIM plan (it might be labeled "Secondary," "Personal," etc., or your custom name).

    • If you locate it, tap on the plan.

    • Confirm that Turn On This Line is ON.

    • Verify that Data Roaming is ON for this eSIM line as well.

If your ESIMI  eSIM plan is listed in your settings and these settings are correct, the installation was successful, and your eSIM is ready for use when you travel!
